Welcome to ETHN!
ETHN is a network that connects scholars, archivists and institutions working on the history of television in Europe. The network encourages the exchange of research and experiences and the development of collaborative research projects that help to explore a comparative approach to television history.
Announcements

The recently launched EUscreen, Exploring Europe’s Television Heritage in Changing Contexts aims, among others, to make European television heritage accessible to the academic community for research and teaching purposes. To this end, the EU funded project wants to integrate the European Television History Network into its activities! We are currently developing a content selection policy meant to support the research interests of our academic community. Within the framework of EUscreen, Utrecht University in co-operation with Royal Holloway University of London have drafted a questionnaire to collect data on your experiences with research in television archives. Please fill out our questionnaire before January 10, 2010 and help us and the whole television history community to facilitate further research in European television archives!
For further questions about the questionnaire, please do not hesitate to contact Dana Mustata at D.Mustata@uu.nl
Thank you for your co-operation!
The European Commission, DG Information Society and Media, has awarded a grant to Utrecht University for the research project EUscreen, Exploring Europe’s Television Heritage in Changing Contexts within the eContenplus Programme (Stimulating cultural and scientific/scholarly content enrichment). The project starts on 1 October and runs three years based on a 4 million euros funding. The project will closely co-operate with ETHN.
